Create or log into your Stripe account

Go to stripe.com and sign up for free. Stripe is how your money moves — it's free to create an account and you only pay a small processing fee per transaction (typically 2.9% + 30¢).

Connect Stripe from your Clipd dashboard

In your admin panel, click the Payments tab → Connect Stripe. You'll be redirected to Stripe to authorize the connection. Takes under 2 minutes.

Choose your payment type

Select Deposit and enter a dollar amount (e.g. $20), or select Full service price to charge the service fee upfront. Toggle payments on and save.

You're live

Your booking page now shows the payment prompt. Every new booking will require payment before it's confirmed — and the money goes straight to your Stripe account.

No. Payments go directly from your client to your Stripe account. Clipd doesn't take a percentage of your transactions — you keep 100% minus Stripe's standard processing fee (typically 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction).
No — you can create one for free when you connect. It takes about 2 minutes. If you already have a Stripe account, you can connect it directly.
Stripe typically deposits funds within 2 business days, depending on your bank and payout settings. You can configure payout frequency directly in your Stripe dashboard.
Refunds are managed through your Stripe dashboard. Clipd doesn't automatically refund — you decide your refund policy. Many shops keep deposits for cancellations within 24 hours.
Right now payments apply shop-wide — either all bookings require payment or none do. Per-service payment settings are on our roadmap.
